Incredible Backpacking Trips

When planning backpacking trips, I would focus on remoteness.

Before the Internet I would go to the library pulling the forest service maps looking for areas classified as “pristine”, and if I remember right that meant less than 20 people a year would visit that area.

Perfect!

  • Holy Cross Colorado
  • Rowe Mountain – Colorado
  • Flat Tops – Colorado
  • Yellowstone Lake – Wyoming
  • Bitter Roots – Montana
  • Glacier National Park – Montana

Be Smart & Safe

Colorado is a unique and rugged. If you follow some simple tips you will be perfectly safe in Colorado’s high country.

Please make yourself aware of the dangers or the things that can injure or even kill you. Avoid these to ensure your safety.

Top dangers include #1 by far, falling, followed by drowning, hypothermia, lightning and then animals. Heart attacks are an issue as well to be aware of.

Animals are simply an unlikely threat if you follow some basic rules.
